About Evelyn
I am a certified Spanish, Portuguese, hebrew and ESL teacher
Have a Bachelors of Arts in foreign languages and secondary education and a Masters of Science in TESOL
I was born in Brazil and came to the USA at the age of 15 where I completed my secondary education.
I have taught multilevel students. For the past 19 years my students have participated on Spanish and Portuguese National exam in the New York Metropolitan Area and scored highly and received honorable recognition. I am able to assess and identify students' difficulties in mastering certain concepts in foreign language learning. I have been instrumental in finding materials that facilitate foreign language acquisition

After assessing my students needs, I conduct my lessons in the target language . I do not rely on translation of words unless it's absolutely necessary and make sure students master listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Students interact and converse in the foreign language . I am an active participant not a lecturer.
My goal is to have them speak with confidence and accuracy.
