About Dana
Over the past 5 years I have worked as an after-school tutor and homework helper in both the public school setting and private sector, in addition to providing tutoring services independently. After receiving my Master's degree in Elementary Education, working as an elementary level classroom teacher has given me extensive experience working with high-needs populations in both large and small group settings. Tutoring provides the opportunity for me to instruct in the areas I am strongest in and most passionate about in an individualized setting, and it's my favorite part of doing the job that I already love!

My lessons are geared towards elementary/early middle school aged students, grades K-6; I tutor in phonics, fluency and reading comprehension skills in addition to providing remedial math support. I use a variety of methods and supplements to teach and strengthen student understanding in math and reading, as well as providing assistance with homework in these subject areas.
