About Tavden
I started tutoring in elementary school through a learn to read program. We were partnered with 6 year old kids and helped them to read once a week.
I graduated high school with honours.
I have 3 gold and 1 silver provincial championship medals.
I have been an instructor for CanPowerSkate.
I have coached ice hockey from children to College Women's teams and individuals.
I have been a facilitator for Hockey Canada's Speak Out! program.
I aided in the Special Olympics Bowling program in Red Deer, Alberta

I like to ground my students by relating the things they are already good at or interested in to what they are struggling with.
As a former student athlete with a part-time job and many volunteer commitments I know the difficulties in focus and motivation that come with being "overwhelmed".
My teaching strategies involve some time and energy management as well as subject learning. I believe we all can learn and that each of us requires a different angle.
