About Syed Kabir

I am a dedicated and reliable Computer Science tutor currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at King’s College London. I have over one year of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students, helping them build strong subject knowledge, improve exam technique, and gain confidence in their abilities.
My teaching style is structured, clear, and student-focused. I take time to understand each student’s strengths, areas for improvement, and exam board requirements, allowing me to tailor lessons to their individual needs. I explain concepts in a logical, step-by-step manner and use practical examples, coding exercises, and exam-style questions to ensure students fully understand the material rather than relying on memorisation.
I am professional, punctual, and well-prepared for every lesson. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. Lessons are available both online and in person, depending on location.
My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to develop their confidence, problem-solving skills, and genuine interest in Computer Science.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is student-centred and structured, with a strong focus on building both understanding and confidence. I begin by assessing the student’s current level, exam board, and learning style, and then tailor lessons to suit their individual needs and goals.
I teach concepts step-by-step, ensuring the fundamentals are solid before moving on to more complex topics. For Computer Science, I balance theory and practical application, using real examples, diagrams, and coding exercises to make topics easier to understand. I regularly use exam-style questions, past papers, and targeted practice to improve exam technique and performance. I also encourage students to ask questions and think independently, rather than just memorising content.

In terms of length of the lesson I would prefer 2 hours lesson so we can cover not only the theory but also practise some of the questions on the theory we covered for deeper understanding.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at King’s College London. I have over one year of tutoring experience, teaching students at GCSE and A-Level. This has given me a strong understanding of common challenges students face and how to address them effectively.
