About Samuel
I have experience supporting students in schools, and it was through this that I found my love for teaching maths, and, particularly, finding ways to help students who were resistant to the subject discover aspects of it they could genuinely enjoy.
I have a degree in Computing and IT from the Open University, and have experience working with students aged 12-18 in both tutoring and one-to-one mentoring roles. I am comfortable teaching both online and in person, and am used to adapting to the needs of individual students.

My lessons are aimed at students working towards their GCSEs, though I'm also happy to work with older students resitting their maths.
I try to make lessons engaging and show that maths can actually be interesting as I find students learn better when they're enjoying themselves. I also focus on helping students think critically about problems rather than just memorising methods, so they can tackle questions they haven't seen before with confidence.
I have worked with students aged 12-18, both online and in person. Lessons are typically an hour. I hold a Computing and IT degree from the Open University.
