About Sonya
Hi, I’m Sonya, and I’ll be your cooking tutor! With many years of experience in cooking and catering through my company, The Jill, and our catering arm, Pretty Tasty Catering, I’ve crafted some pretty amazing dishes! I wasn’t always a kitchen pro, but with over 30 years of practice (and failed recipes) I'm still at it and loving it!
I’m excited to share my journey and passion with you, especially if you’re new to or nervous about cooking. So, let’s have some fun and make some delicious dishes together! ️

Hi, I’m Sonya, and I’ll be your cooking tutor! Whether you’re a new spouse looking to impress your significant other, just cooking for yourself, or feeling a bit nervous about the kitchen, I’m here to help. I’m a fun, funny, and patient teacher who can cook pretty much anything. We can start with your favorite meal or explore new dishes that you’ll love and feel confident making again and again. Can’t wait to cook with you!
Most classes will be 1.5 to 2 hours depending on what we're cooking and I'm open to face-to-face or virtual classes.
