I am a dedicated student with a strong academic record, including President’s List honors and certifications as a CRLA tutor and Certified Peer Educator. I have experience working with diverse students and adapting my teaching style to fit different learning needs. About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centered on active learning, clarity, and confidence-building. I don’t just focus on helping students get the right answer, I focus on making sure they truly understand why the answer is correct so they can apply the concept independently on exams.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
I use a combination of step-by-step explanations, visual aids, and practice based learning. I often break complex topics into smaller, manageable pieces and connect them to real-world examples or prior knowledge. I also incorporate practice questions, recall techniques, and mini “teach-back” moments, where students explain concepts to reinforce their understanding.

Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical session starts with identifying what the student is struggling with or reviewing previous material. From there, I:

Briefly review key concepts
Walk through examples step-by-step
Guide the student through practice problems
End with a summary and quick review to solidify learning

I also adjust sessions based on upcoming exams, homework, or specific goals.

As a lifelong student with a Masters in Biomedical Science and a BS in Biochemistry, Certified Peer Educator, and CRLA-certified tutor, I bring both strong content knowledge and proven teaching strategies. I understand what it’s like to struggle with difficult material and improve, so I focus on reducing anxiety, building confidence, and creating a supportive learning environment. My goal is not just short-term success, but long-term mastery.
