My teaching methodology is to go over the basics first and gradually work my way up to more complex knowledge. I like to explain why things are important and how to utilize this knowledge, rather than just giving lectures and making students memorize the information.
I am a rising sophomore at American University who crochets in her free time. I have worked in a tutoring job for the past year, and in total I have about four years of experience working with others. I have a passion for teaching as well as crocheting.

Current undergraduate student at American University. Intended majors are Legal Studies and Elementary Education. Intended minor is Psychology. Received a high school diploma at West Mifflin High School with an high honors distinction, where I graduated 17 out of approx. 250 students. During high school, I took 9 AP tests in various subjects, passing 8/9 of them. I received a public speaking award in November 2017. My professional experience includes working as a dietary aide at Locust Grove Senior Living Community from August 2016 to May 2018. I also mentored a student for two years through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. For the past year, I worked with DC Reads to teach elementary school students how to better their reading skills.
