About Sophia
Hey! My name is Sophia and I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education at the University of Sydney. I have been tutoring for 3+ years, and am across various year levels and KLAs, and I recognize that both success and the steps it takes to get there need to be tailored to your needs, learning styles and other interests. I hope to get to know you both as a student and person, and support you to get the most out of learning and high school, which I know first-hand can be difficult.

Recognising potential and supporting students to do their best is at the heart of my pedagogy. Through 1 hour weekly or fortnightly lessons, we will explore how to best capture audiences and adjudicators, and create effective, cohesive and engaging speeches and debates that reflect your child's best interests.
Currently taking students in Years 7-12. I have been involved with the NSW Premier's Debating Challenge, first as a competitor from years 7-11, to now adjudicating with the Department of Education. I have competed ad achieved well in both regional, state and national public speaking competitions, recently engaging with the Y's Youth Parliament Program, and winning 2nd in the PESA state final.
