About Alice
Students who study D&T at KS4 and KS5 are attracted to the practical exploration and hands-on nature of the subject. I make it my mission to ensure that all students, regardless of literacy skills or other barriers to learning, can reach their potential in this hugely creative and thought-provoking subject by breaking down the marking criteria and understanding how to structure your work to showcase your iterative journey and experimentation.

After teaching and leading all key stages of Design and Technology for 5 years, I have witnessed first-hand the mistakes students make time and again which stop them from meeting their potential, not to mention the challenges presented by a lack of teacher 1-1 time when managing large groups of students. By having 1-1 sessions, I can provide focused support to avoid these mistakes, using strategies supported by the Education Faculty at the University of Cambridge, whilst adhering to the AQA feedback guidelines to help succeed in the NEA component and prepare for the theory element. Sessions will be 45 minutes - 1 hour for GCSE (specification 8552) and A Level (Specification 7552)
