About Jane
Great to meet you!
I have a wide array of experience, primarily working teaching year 7-10 Science based on the Australian Curriculum.
My first career was as a lawyer but after 10 years and realising how much I enjoyed lecturing and tutoring I turned back to my Science degree and completed my education training in 2011.
I have taught in Western Australia and Queensland including teaching in ‘prestigious’ schools to those in remote Far North Queensland. During that time I have taught a wide range of students all with different goals.
My experience includes supporting those bound for university, those bound to a trade, the students going to work on the farm back home and those just not sure.
I appreciate the different needs and support boarder’s need and have formed amazing relationships with my Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. I get it, sometimes English is not what you speak at home and you are a bit lost.
On the other end spectrum I hold a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Certificate in Health and Medical Law and a Graduate Certificate in Education. I have experience tutoring secondary school students from year 7 -12 and tertiary students.
Apart from just a bunch of certificates I can offer a wide range of tips and strategies for completing assessments and preparing for exams.
