About Oswin
My name is Oswin, currently pursuing a career in law after having studied Industrial Economics and Law at the University of Nottingham and the University of Law, respectively — all at the humble age of 23 at the time of writing - I almost forgot to add that I have passed both of the Solicitor Qualifying Exams, and I am the first person in my company to do so.
Whilst I am trying not to sound arrogant, I am confident — one of the reasons for this is the way I learn and digest information, where I grasp a strong understanding through a logical process. This has influenced my teaching style, where I find myself able to break a concept down into a simple, understandable idea for students. Having been a student during my A-levels who had to figure a lot of it out on my own, I place a greater emphasis on learning the "how," as opposed to simply the "what" — I also teach you the systems I incorporated at the time of studying towards my A-levels, as well as the systems I would build retrospectively to maximise your chances of doing well in your exams!

The lesson will be driven by your weaker areas and your specific requests — I've never believed in a one-size-fits-all approach, since every student has different gaps to close. That said, I focus on teaching the fundamentals needed to pass any exam — the core ingredients required to succeed. I'll also take the time to identify any personal habits that might be holding you back, and help you work through them. My philosophy is simple: as long as each essay is better than the last, you'll eventually be exam-ready — so long as you put in the effort yourself too!

I will also provide you with my personal email address, giving you access to me and my knowledge — almost like a personal mentor — where you can ask questions you might not want to ask at school, and request that I look at your work (up to an extra hour of my own time) for review!
