About Maggie
Hello! My name is Maggie Campbell, and I am an experienced educator with a strong academic and professional background in teaching and student support. I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Queen’s University Belfast, graduating with distinction, and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ohio University, where I also studied education policy and communication. I have worked across both the United States and Ireland in a variety of educational roles — including as an Education Support Assistant and Mentor at Northern Regional College, a Substitute and Classroom Teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools, and a Tutor for NovaStar Prep, where I specialized in writing, organization, and study skills. These experiences have given me a comprehensive understanding of different curricula, learning needs, and teaching strategies. My approach combines structured academic support with a focus on confidence-building and independence. I draw on my background in educational leadership to identify barriers to learning and create tailored strategies that help each student reach their full potential. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your writing, improve study habits, or develop better academic organization, I bring professionalism, patience, and proven experience to every session.

I have worked in education support and tutoring across the UK, USA, and Ireland for the last six years. I graduated in the upper levels for my journalism degree from Ohio University and with a 2.1 in my MSc in Educational Leadership from Queen's University Belfast. My lessons will focus on developing individualized learning plans for each student based on their chosen topic. I use guided practices and inquiry-based learning in my sessions. I will give you the tools and show you how to use them, and then I will give you the confidence and independence to use those tools on your own. The goal is for you to level up while making sure you have a great foundation. I have experience working with students who need additional executive function assistance and am happy to incorporate helpful techniques into our sessions. My lessons usually last an hour and are geared towards 10 to 18-year-olds.
