About Bernie
As a professional educator in both face to face and virtual setting, I have made it a routine and duty to foster a trusting and engaging learning environment. With my guidance, I allow students to discover their best potential. This involves not only imparting knowledge but also acting as a pillar of support, guidance, and professionalism.
To ensure that I am up to date with the latest pedagogical qualifications, I have teaching certifications in TEFL and TESOL in addition to my degree in Education. Moreover, I also attend online teaching workshops and seminars as part of my ongoing pursuit for result driven teaching techniques. I believe that the knowledge I have gained not only enhances my teaching practice but also reflects my dedication to providing the highest quality of education.
Since I started in this field of career, I have worked hard in creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and sharing their thoughts. I know that incorporating a range of teaching methods, including collaborative project making, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities, caters to diverse learning styles and promotes active participation. By celebrating efforts and achievements – no matter how small – is my way of nurturing self-esteem to push their boundaries.

As an online classroom teacher, I know that learning happens through interaction and relationships. I always build rapport with students. This is helpful and effective strategy in getting to know tutees’ interests, preferences, and learning strategies. I believe that a strong tutor-tutee relationship is the foundation for the learning process. The relationship can become one of mentoring as well as teaching.
