About Nancy
Teaching is a second career for me, and one I chose with great consideration. After being an early childhood educator, I spent a year substitute teaching in public and private high schools. I am passionate about working with secondary education students and helping them gain confidence in their abilities. I am currently finishing my second graduate degree at Villanova University. My first graduate degree was in business, so I am very familiar with writing concisely and creatively with my second master's degree. I am skilled at both APA and MLA formats, helping students understand thesis statements and topic sentences and how to perform research without going down rabbit holes of research that lead nowhere.

My tutoring is about making difficult ELA and writing concepts understandable. I have a passion for writing, authors, poetry, and a wide variety of literature. I am an expert at performing research and citing, and can help you learn MLA or APA writing styles without creating more anxiety about the learning or writing process.
