About Mariska
Hi! I’m Mariska, a passionate and dedicated bilingual tutor fluent in both English and Afrikaans. I work with school learners from Grade 1 to 12, helping them improve their language skills with patience, clarity, and encouragement. My goal is to make language learning less stressful and more enjoyable by creating a safe space where students feel heard, supported, and capable. With a strong understanding of both CAPS and IEB curriculums, I adapt each lesson to fit the learner’s individual needs — whether they’re catching up, preparing for exams, or simply building confidence. I love using creative methods, personalized study notes, and regular progress feedback to help each child succeed at their own pace.
