About Anne
I have taught English as a Second Language to students over the course of many years. My students come from different countries including Hong Kong, Syria, Poland, and Vietnam, and include recent immigrants to Canada. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of British Columbia where I specialized in languages, linguistics, and teaching. I teach online using ZOOM and Skype to make my lessons accessible to as many students as possible. Learning a second language can be stressful - so I aim to keep things relaxed and fun. However, my methods are proven to help students advance their understanding and improve their pronunciation - key steps to becoming fluent in English! I also give students access to my social media ESL - a great way to pick up idioms and practice popular phrases used every day by native speakers.
