About Aliesha
I have an English degree, have tutored ESL students, and even spent time tutoring abroad! My students gained a better understanding of essay writing, paragraph and sentence structure, and overall how to write for a specific audience, among many other skills. I use examples that are easy to understand to help make essay writing fun! I also have experience with resumes and cover letters. I've worked in a student center, helping students prepare for job interviews and write their first resumes! These students all acquired jobs or internships.

My teaching method is overall the same: getting the student to understand the process, demonstrating it, coaching them through it, then letting them master it with guidance. Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs and desires, as well as strengths and areas of improvement.

I met Aliesha through an online mommy group. She and I got along so well, and when I found out she tutored, I was ecstatic! My son (Joshua, 3rd grade at the time) was really struggling with sounding out the words on the page. Even worse, he wasn't really eager to try. Aliesha managed to make learning for him, to the point that we upped our lessons to twice a week because he was making so much progress! Even Joshua's teachers noticed an improvement. I'm so grateful we found Aliesha, and I highly recommend her.
