About Nuala
Biotechnology student turned traveller. I have recently returned from living in Cambodia where i had the amazing opportunity to teach a class and tutor Khmer students, as well as the privilege of tutoring Korean children whose families I grew close to and love dearly.
During this time I never stopped trying to become a better teacher, often trying different styles until I found my current style which achieves maximum results but is also very enjoyable for the student.
It can take time as it can require rapport building.

The way I approach the first lesson is to work out skill level, to discuss preferred learning styles, and to deduce what you want to achieve as well as goal setting.
From there it depends on age group.
For children I include lots of drawing and board games, closing with reading every lesson.
For teenagers and adults it will depend on how you learn, what you like to do, and skill level.
More often than not vocabulary building is required before we can do anything more.
