About William

About Me
Hello! I am a seasoned British educator and avid traveller with a deep passion for exploring new cultures and connecting with people from all walks of life. Over my career, I have lived and taught in the UK, Italy, Morocco, Australia, Laos, and Thailand—where I spent 20 wonderful years.

My journey as an educator has taken me into universities, commercial enterprises, and industrial environments across Asia and Europe. I have had the privilege of teaching everyone from shop floor workers to corporate CEOs. Because my work often took me to different locations, I was constantly meeting new students—an experience I genuinely loved, as each person brought unique perspectives and learning goals to the table.

Holding a BA (Hons) degree alongside professional TEFL and TESOL certifications, I bring 25 years of classroom and online expertise to every lesson. I understand that learning English can feel intimidating, which is why my goal is to create a welcoming, relaxed environment where you can build real confidence. Whether you are taking your first steps as a beginner or striving for fluency in your career, I am dedicated to helping you achieve your language goals professionally and enjoyably.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach & Methodology
I believe that real learning happens when you feel relaxed and confident. My teaching approach centres on creating an encouraging, low-pressure atmosphere where you feel comfortable speaking English from day one. Instead of rigid lectures, I focus on interactive, communicative techniques designed to maximise your speaking time, refine your pronunciation, and build natural fluency step by step.

Lesson Format & Duration
Lessons typically run from 40 minutes to 1 hour, customised to fit your focus span and daily schedule. For longer or more intensive sessions, I like to include a short, refreshing break so you remain engaged and energised throughout our time together.

Qualifications & Experience
With 25 years of classroom and online teaching experience across Asia and Europe, I hold a BA (Hons) degree alongside professional TEFL and TESOL certifications. My background includes lecturing at universities and delivering specialised training for industry and commerce, giving me deep insight into both general fluency and professional English needs.

Who My Lessons Are For
I welcome learners of all backgrounds, with a primary focus on adults and young adults preparing for academic, personal, or corporate growth. While I cater to all proficiency levels—from foundational to specialised topics—I particularly enjoy guiding beginners and lower-level learners through their initial steps to build lasting confidence.
