About Dylan
I have a lot of experience in tutoring. I have tutored at GCSE, AS Level and A Level for the last 4 years, and I have good experience in both face-to-face and online tutoring. I believe that online tutoring is the way forward for effective tutoring as it means that the student doesn't need to leave their room to learn, making their schedule much more flexible and allowing them to maximise their learning time. I have tutored many students over the last few years, with a wide range of different abilities and age. I welcome any student - no matter what their age or current understanding level is, so long as they are willing to learn and want to achieve the best that they can in their exams.

My lessons are engaging, adaptive and interactive. I have a flexible teaching style, and depending on the nature of the student and their present level of understanding, I will adapt my sessions to offer maximum benefit to the student. I base my sessions on working through exam questions, and when the student needs support in a particular area we will divert from questions to more general content so thats I can explain the key concepts, before going back to the exam questions to test understanding in that particular area. I use an interactive whiteboard tool in conjunction with Skype to run my sessions. This allows me to write out model answers and create a complete set of notes for the student to keep after every session. I also set work for the student to work on between lessons, which we will review at the beginning of every session. I recommend that students invest in a writing tablet (£20) so that they are able to attempt exam questions themselves with their own working, but this is not essential for the first couple of lessons.
