As a certified Florida Biology teacher with over a decade of classroom experience, my approach blends structure, clarity, and curiosity. I believe every student can understand biology when the content is broken down into meaningful patterns, visuals, and real-world connections.
My teaching method focuses on:
Scaffolded learning: I guide students from foundational ideas (like cell structure) to higher-level analysis (like energy flow and genetics).
Active engagement: Instead of memorizing facts, students practice explaining, graphing, and solving real test-style problems.
Critical thinking: I train students to interpret data, analyze experimental design, and apply knowledge to new situations — skills tested on the Florida Biology EOC and AP Biology FRQs.
Visual and verbal explanation: I use diagrams, flowcharts, and analogies (e.g., “The cell as a factory”) to make complex processes easier to grasp.
Each session is personalized but follows a clear structure:
