About Ilenia
My teaching methodology is built on a communicative and structured approach, refined through four years of professional classroom experience in both the English and Scottish education systems. I leverage my Master’s in Comparative Literature to provide deep linguistic context, helping students understand the "why" behind grammar rules rather than just memorising them. Having successfully guided students through GCSE, A-Level, National 5, and Highers, I specialise in "exam-hacking"—teaching you exactly how to meet marking criteria while simultaneously building real-world fluency. Every lesson is bespoke, utilising authentic multimedia resources and targeted retrieval practice to ensure that vocabulary sticks and confidence grows. Whether we are analysing complex texts or perfecting your accent, my goal is to make the language feel intuitive, logical, and alive.
