I strongly believe that successful and fulfilling language learning depends on: 1. immersion and frequent interaction with the language, 2. speaking and writing as soon as possible, and--most importantly--3. learning to communicate about things that matter to you! I work to personalize my approach for each individual student. Likewise, I aim to make pronunciation easy and use casual conversation as a strategic tool in building fluency, confidence, and understanding.
While a student at Samford University, I took upper-level coursework focused on French language and cultural history. As a French language lab instructor I led weekly language activities, provided conversation practice, and offered individual tutoring for those students who needed a little extra help. I have an abundance of experience working with students of all ages in a variety of settings and always aim to meet students where they are.
