About James
My lessons are built around you, and they're meant to be fun. In our first session we agree what you want to achieve, whether that's speaking with confidence, preparing for an exam, or using French at work or while travelling. Then I plan each lesson around that goal.
I grew up with French through my Belgian father and was educated in French at secondary school, so I teach the language the way people really speak it, not just from a textbook. I've taught before, so I explain things clearly and patiently, and I keep the mood relaxed. Mistakes are part of learning, and we'll laugh about plenty of them.
With 8+ years in finance and asset management, I can also help with professional and business French, from meetings and emails to financial vocabulary.
Expect real conversation, practical vocabulary, and a lesson you'll actually look forward to. Beginners are welcome, and so are adults who want to get fluent again.

James has given me a lot of confidence in my approach to learning a new language. He has a lot of patience, is very thorough and takes his time to listen and explain. I would hot hesitate to recommend him.
