About Sasha

I am a junior doctor (graduating from the GKT School of Medicine at King's College London in 2019), currently training in psychiatry, with a previous Masters Degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford (Magdalen College).

I have extensive tutoring experience, with students of various ages, with a usual focus on Sciences and Maths, also teaching English, Geography, History, and 11+ techniques to younger students. In addition to British qualifications, I have also spent time teaching for American qualifications, such as the SSAT, ISEE, ACT, and SAT. I also offer lessons to undergraduate science students who require specific help with chemistry.

As a long-term student myself, I know the value of really getting to grips with material from first principles. This forms the basis of my approach to teaching, always ensuring students have a solid foundation of knowledge before going on to develop more detailed understanding and a strong exam technique.

In addition to my studies, I enjoy to swim, play guitar and clarinet, and reading (both fiction and non-fiction!). I'm also a keen walker, enjoying all of the fascinating and beautiful routes London has to offer.

I primarily offer lessons to cover entrance exams, mathematics, biology, physics, and chemistry, pitched at students across school years 5 through to 13/upper sixth. This starts from 11+ preparation through to A-levels/Pre-U.

I have a patient, measured approach to tuition that focusses on the students wishes and regular assessment of their immediate tuition needs or subject weaknesses. I work flexibly, able to set a tuition regime to help my student work to a specific goal or able to work week-by-week on topics of the student and family's choosing.

I typically offer lessons from 45-90 minutes in length.

I am now a qualified doctor, graduating from the GKT School of Medicine (at King's College London) in 2019, currently undertaking speciality training in psychiatry. Since graduating in 2019, I have worked at a variety of hospitals across Greater London, through a number of different medical and surgical specialities, in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Prior to training as a doctor, I completed a Master's Degree in Chemistry at the University of Oxford, writing my thesis in Chemical Biology.
