I am an experienced Secondary School Science teacher and Tutor with a successful proven track record who can guarantee a student to reach his / her full potential. I am able to teach all Sciences across the secondary age range using various syllabuses including Exploring Science, OCR Gateway Science, Edexcel and AQA. I have experience in delivering the BTEC programme, Core Science, Additional Science and Separate Science curriculum.
I am a confident, enthusiastic and driven individual who`s teaching / tutoring methods will encourage the student to develop his/her self-confidence, and help him/her achieve the best results by focusing on his/her weakest points. My outgoing personality allows me to interact comfortably with patience and motivation, giving me the ideal chance to pass knowledge and experience but at the same time also injecting life and interest into difficult topic

I am an experienced full-time Secondary School Science teacher working in a local Derbyshire school with a successful proven track record of helping students reach their full potential. I am able to teach all Science subjects across the secondary school age range and I have experience in delivering various syllabi, such as Edexcel and AQA. I have a great desire to see pupils reach their full potential and this is something that is measured ultimately with exam success.
I am committed to providing students with a dynamic and challenging learning environment that encourages them to trust their own opinions and support their development and understanding, while fostering confidence for them to realise their full potential and help them blossom into well rounded, responsible and successful individuals. My tutoring sessions aim to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths whilst also allowing them to see progress and giving them a sense of achievement. I also give supportive feedback at the end of every session and use targets to set individual goals for students.
My tutoring approach is tailored to every individual student and is based around the common misconceptions students may encounter in Science. I use a variety of methods to teach and mentor each student which include; reading and explaining topics they struggle with, asking questions to analyse whether my lessons are effective and if the student has made progress, probing the student to ensure they can explain the concepts back to me, collating and giving exams questions to complete and correct to ensure the student has a bank of knowledge ready for the exams. I also help students work on their revision and exam technique as it is essential to be able to apply the learnt knowledge in order to succeed in exams. I offer full assistance to all my students in and out of the set tutoring sessions and I am happy to be contacted via phone and e-mail at their convenience. I am willing to travel to the tutees' location, as this enables a comfortable environment for the tutee to maximise learning in the comfort of their own homes.
