About Donna
I am a recently retired teacher but am still very young at heart. I love reading, drinking tea, sewing and collecting Jellycats! Over the last 33 years I have supported hundreds of students to gain confidence in Maths and pass their GCSEs and A Levels. I have a degree in Mathematics and Qualified Teacher Status. I have worked in leadership in schools for the last 20 years and loved helping to develop teaching and learning practice, coaching and support staff and students. I believe in inclusive education and am an advocate for children with additional needs eg ADHD, Autism and SEMH. I have recent training in mental health and wellbeing, trauma informed practice and supporting ‘communication and interaction’ needs.

I quickly get to know my student’s strengths and the areas they need more support with. My lessons are interactive to maintain focus and personalised to each student. Lots of practice to build confidence! I am calm, build a positive relationship and I am honest. I motivate students who find it hard to concentrate.
