About Sarah
I am an enthusiastic and innovative Science tutor. I have had over 5 years worth of experience teaching Science in secondary schools in the UK. In addition to 2 years working in a laboratory. I have hundreds of hours of experience tutoring online across all specifications. I currently live in Portugal (so therefore can only accept online students), engineering and designing ecological systems. My specialist subjects are Biology and Physics but I am also happy to tutor Chemistry (all GCSE) level. My style is very visual, interactive and hands on (even online), I believe this to be the most effective way to process information as the way in which we interact with the world is in this way.

My tutoring style is very hands on, I love to use interactive programs and get you fully involved in your education. A typical lesson with me begins with a few retrieval questions to see where you are currently at and what areas we need to focus on, then we will go through content using interactive whiteboards, programs and simulations, I also use the web cam from to time to time for Science demonstrations or for some short art and craft Science projects. Most of my students come to me to help them boost their grades, therefore a main focus of our sessions is practicing exam questions and decoding command words so that I can check your exam technique. For homework this can either be exam questions or a creative and practical Science project as I am always happy to go far beyond the curriculum
