My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Methodology
I believe learning guitar should be enjoyable and motivating. My teaching focuses on building a strong foundation in basic pop guitar techniques, including chords, strumming patterns, and fingerstyle. I use a step-by-step approach, combining practical playing with simple music theory to help students understand what they play.
Each lesson typically lasts 30 minutes, allowing enough time for warm-up, new material, practice, and review. I tailor the pace and content based on each student’s age, level, and goals to ensure steady progress.
With over a decade of experience playing guitar and teaching beginners in both church and community settings, I am comfortable working with students of all ages—especially beginners and intermediate learners who want to play popular music confidently.
