My lessons are more than simply learning guitar chords. I provide personalized learning materials and exercises designed to help each student understand what they are playing and make steady progress.

One of the methods I use when teaching songs is placing the beat count above the chords. This shows students exactly where they should be in the music and exactly when each chord change happens. Instead of guessing when to change chords, students learn to follow the count, develop better timing, and understand how the chords fit with the rhythm of the song.

I also work on proper technique, strumming patterns, chord transitions, rhythm, music theory, reading music, and understanding how songs are structured. Lessons are adapted to each student’s experience and goals, whether they are starting from the beginning or already know how to play.

I want my students to understand music rather than simply memorize chord shapes. We work step by step so they can develop good habits, play songs with confidence, keep a steady rhythm, and eventually become more independent musicians.

The 30-minute first session is free and gives us an opportunity to discuss your musical goals, experience, and the type of music you would like to learn. From there, I can create a lesson plan that fits you.
