About Blake

I have played guitar for just about 11 years. I love jazz and blues guitar. Specifically, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, and Tom Misch.

I have played guitar for church, open mics, and full band gigs. I myself have received private lessons and currently I study music on my own every single week.

I am new to giving lessons, however, with my experience I have a lot of great knowledge and direction to provide to guitarists of both beginner and intermediate levels!

Recently I received experiential training (“hands on” training) at Hillsong College, where I prepared for and performed a “wedding/party band” gig with pop/jazz/rock covers.

About the lesson

I am passionate about seeing musicians excel and progress with their skill, knowledge, and joy of music :)

I teach both electric AND acoustic guitar.

Whether you are at a basic level (having a desire and passion just to simply begin learning guitar)…

OR

Whether you are at an intermediate level (musicians who already have an understanding of basic theory, as well as, a good skill set but they want to grow even more)…

I have a dedicated work ethic (I will work hard to provide lessons catered to each individual and their goals/music taste).

I have a huge passion for music and I want to grow musically alongside my students.

I am also very humble, kind, and enthusiastic ( I’m excited and happy to teach and share what knowledge I have with others ).

Again, I am passionate about helping “YOU” succeed!

Blake is an all round awesome guy. Super kind, super friendly, super easy to talk to. He knows how to be outgoing and fun but also how to conduct himself in a professional manner. He is very trustworthy and holds himself to a high standard of honesty. He's also one of the most hardworking musicians I know. He's constantly working to upskill himself and he is very capable of developing other guitarists. Highly recommend!

I’ve known Blake for nearly 2 years. We went to college together and we were in the same class for our music stream. He’s extremely proficient in his craft and really knows what he’s talking about. He explains theory very well and makes hard concepts easier to understand. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to get stuck in to working on their musicianship.
