About Peter
I am an experienced teacher originally from Essex County, New Jersey. I love history, reading fiction, writing, I am also obsessed with music and I play guitar. I am also a fan of Premier League soccer and love to cook. I attended Drew University as an undergrad where I studied History and English and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where I attained a Masters of Arts in Teaching.

I will use scaffolded reading methods to help students gain an edge in either social studies or english. My history lessons focus on interpreting primary and secondary source media while a session for english would take a thematic approach to whatever you are reading, developing the skills to interpret text and creating your own written work.
I am trained to teach secondary social studies and hold a teacher's certification in history. I have taught US History and World History. I hold a Masters of Arts and Teaching and majored in history with a minor in literature as an undergraduate at Drew University in New Jersey. As an undergrad I focused on several highly disparate time periods: Europe in the 20th Century, The Islamic World and the history of Philosophy.
My skills would serve best with Middle or High School level students. Thank you for your time.
