About Yulia

I've been teaching English for over 15 years to children, teenagers and adults in Russia, Ireland and Australia. My focus area is IELTS and academic writing, and I can help you with essay planning, IELTS writing, editing or grammar and vocabulary questions. I help train future language teachers at a university and I'm also writing a PhD dissertation about international students in Australia.

About the lesson

I approach each student individually to find out about their study needs. During the first class, I try to find out your strengths and weaknesses and base our future lessons on that. I believe everyone is able to build upon their existing skills to improve, even in a short period of time. I hope my individualized approach to teaching can help you achieve your English study goals.

Perfect! Yulia is an excellent teacher as she gave individualised advice so I was able to strengthen my weakness in a very short time.

She is also very resourceful, always sharing with me meterials that would help me the most.

She is very encouraging, when I made repeated mistake, she is always patient and not critising.

One time I missed a class but she arranged another time to make up the miss.
Unlike other tutors, when you miss, it is your loss, no refund or make up.

She also goes out of her way to help me.
On the day of my test, because she knows that I perform better in IELTS speaking test if I have a warm up practice, she offered to practice with me right before my speaking exam.

She is the best IELTS teacher you would hope for.
Highly recommended. :)

These include grammar textbooks, educational websites, and others materials specific for IELTS preparation.
She would mark certain pages for me to practice as homework.

I am glad I contacted Yulia when I was looking for a tutor. I only had a few weeks to prepare my IELTS for VISA reasons, and I never attended one before.

With Yulia's help, I achieved above the minimum score that I needed. She has a lot of experience, especially on the IELTS. Yulia gave me lots of material and documents where to study and also tips and suggestion on how to approach all the different tasks.

I also offer IELTS writing assignments. You email me your work and I reply with corrections, feedback and recommendations for improvement. The cost is $25 per task (IELTS Writing Task 1 or Task 2).
