About Rafsan
Hi! I'm Rafsan, an experienced online tutor with 5+ years of teaching experience; currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Business Management at University of London. I specialise in teaching IGCSE and AS-Level students in Mathematics, Economics and Business Studies.
Over the years, I have worked with students of different abilities and learning styles, helping them build a stronger understanding, improve their confidence and prepare effectively for examinations. I have also had the opportunity to interact with IGCSE examiners, which has given me valuable insight into how examination papers are assessed and what examiners look for in students' answers. I use this insight to help students develop stronger exam technique and understand how to approach questions effectively.
Subjects I teach include:
• IGCSE Mathematics – Core & Extended
• IGCSE Additional Mathematics
• IGCSE Economics
• A-Level Economics
• IGCSE Business Studies
• AS-Level Mathematics – Pure Mathematics & Statistics
Whether you need help understanding a difficult topic, catching up on the syllabus, practising past papers or preparing for an upcoming examination, I aim to make each lesson focused, clear and useful.
I believe finding the right tutor is crucial and can significantly impact a student’s performance in their exams. To support this process, I am willing to offer 2 free trial lessons to help students decide whether I’m the right fit for them.

I offer personalised online IGCSE Mathematics lessons covering both regular IGCSE Mathematics and IGCSE Additional Mathematics.
For regular IGCSE Mathematics, I teach both Core and Extended students. I can also help students studying IGCSE Additional Mathematics who need support with more advanced mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
My lessons focus on understanding the methods behind each topic rather than simply memorising formulas. I use clear explanations, worked examples and exam-style questions to help students develop confidence and improve their problem-solving skills.
Lessons can include topic-specific support, revision, past-paper practice and exam preparation, depending on the student's individual needs.
I aim to adapt each lesson to the student's current level, whether they are struggling with particular topics, trying to strengthen their foundations or preparing for their examinations.
Let's make math your strength! Book your first lesson today and start your journey to success.

Mr. Rafsan tutored my daughter with IGCSE Mathematics who was struggling at school. He was extremely patient and provided tons of extra hours and support. He genuinely cared about helping her improve and was always encouraging throughout the process. My daughter ultimately achieved an A and is now studying abroad for her undergraduate degree. Highly recommended!
