I am a Senior Computer Science student at the University of California, Irvine, with a 3.97 GPA and a member of the Campuswide Honors Collegium. My academic background reflects a strong commitment to excellence, discipline, and a deep understanding of both theoretical and applied concepts in computer science and mathematics. Throughout my college journey, I have built extensive experience working with students as a tutor across a variety of subjects, with a primary focus on mathematics and computer science. I have supported learners at different academic levels, helping them strengthen their understanding, improve their grades, and develop effective problem-solving skills. My goal is always to ensure that students not only complete their assignments correctly, but also understand the underlying concepts with confidence. My approach as a tutor is focused on helping students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorizing information. My teaching method involves first understanding each student's current level, learning style, and goals. I break down complex topics into smaller, easier-to-understand concepts and use examples, visual explanations, and guided practice to reinforce learning. I encourage students to explain their thought process because this helps identify gaps in understanding and develops stronger critical-thinking skills.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying areas that need improvement. We then focus on introducing or strengthening new concepts through step-by-step explanations, followed by practice problems where I guide the student through the process. I end lessons by reviewing key takeaways, answering questions, and providing strategies or practice recommendations to continue improving.

As a Senior Computer Science student at UC Irvine with a 3.97 GPA and involvement in the Collegiate Honors Program, I understand the challenges of demanding coursework and know how to approach difficult subjects effectively.
