As an experienced soccer player with a graduate degree in Energy and Environment, I approach coaching with a unique perspective that marries physical skill with strategic understanding. My methodology emphasizes fun and engagement while also reinforcing the technical aspects of soccer. In each session, we'll start with a warm-up routine, then move to skill drills tailored to each child's current abilities and improvement areas. These drills may involve passing, shooting, dribbling, or tactical awareness, among others.
In the second half of the session, we will focus on teamwork and strategy through small-sided games where kids can put their skills into practice. I'll encourage their understanding of positioning, cooperation, and the importance of both offensive and defensive roles.
My background as a footballer for over 20 years and a graduate in a scientific field allows me to bring a unique, holistic coaching approach. I believe in nurturing a love for the sport while also teaching kids about fair play, sportsmanship, and the importance of effort and perseverance. I can adapt my coaching style to suit kids of various ages and skill levels, whether they're just starting out or have been playing for a couple of years.
