Moshe Elmakias (24) is a pianist, arranger and composer from Jerusalem, Israel.
Moshe Elmakias started playing the piano at the age of 6, and at the age of 13 he was already touring around the world with various bands and orchestras.
Moshe won many competitions and scholarships in Israel, Italy, Switzerland and United States. He graduated his B.A with honor and studied with world famous musicians such as Jason Moran, Ethan Iverson, Eli Degibri, Frank Carlberg, and Omri Mor.
From the age of 19 he is recording and performing professionally and internationally with artists such as Larry Klein (US), Manu Katche (France), Itamar Borochov (New York) Leo Espinosa (Cuba), Mor Karbasi (Israel), Tal Gamlieli (Israel) Yogev Shetrit (Israel), Niggun Quartet (Israel), and Marco Pignataro (US).
These days Moshe is a student at the New England Conservatory in Boston, and he plays, records, and performs in many festivals and platforms around the world.

Moshe started playing classical piano at the age of 6, and throughout his youth took an interest in Jazz music. At the age of 13 he was already touring around the world with various bands and orchestras.
He did his mandatory military service in the "Outstanding Musicians Program" while attending the Jerusalem Academy of Music for his bachelor's degree in jazz performance and graduated his B.A with honor. During his studies Moshe studied with world famous musicians such as Eli Degibri, Shai Maestro, Professor Benjamin Oren, Jason Moran, Frank Carlberg, and Ethan Iverson.
Moshe won many competitions and scholarships in Israel and abroad, including "Conad Jazz Competition" (Umbria Jazz Festival 2016), young ensembles competition (Red Sea Jazz Festival 2017) and America - Israel Culture Foundation 2018.
At the age of 19 he performed in Italy at the Umbria Jazz Festival (2016) with an Israeli young jazz quartet. At the age of 20 he played in Israel with the bass player Leo Espinosa (Cuba), and Marco Pignataro (US). Also he played at the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Israel (2017) with an Israeli young jazz quintet.
At the age of 21 he performed Poland (2017) with the world music singer Mor Karbasi, in Guatemala Jazz Festival (2018), Uzbekistan, Russia (2019), and United States (2020) with the Israeli drummer Yogev Shetrit, in Austria, Czech, Russia, Finland, Romania (2018), Colombia, England, Mallorca, Germany (2019) with the Israeli bassist Tal Gamlieli, and in Lichtenstein (2019) with the singer Bijayashree Samal.
On April 2019 Moshe recorded an album with the "Beyond Music" project; He worked with the Grammy-winning producer Larry Klein and recorded with Manu Katche, Dean Parks, Dan Lutz, Clive Deamer and many other world-known musicians.
These days Moshe is studying his master's degree at the New England Conservatory. Along with his studies, Moshe plays and records internationally with many musicians and plays many festivals and platforms around the world.
