About Eliezer

I studied Jewish and Talmudic Studies intensively in Yeshiva for eight years and graduated from Ohr Somayach Tanenbaum College with Semicha (Rabbinic Ordination).

I am also a fully qualified and experienced teacher, holding Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status as well as the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).

I have spent the last 6 years teaching in high school

My background combines many years of advanced Torah and Talmudic study with professional teacher training and classroom experience. This enables me to make complex Jewish texts and ideas clear, structured and accessible to students of different ages and abilities.

About the lesson

I offer engaging and structured online Jewish Studies lessons tailored to each student's level, ability and goals.

My lessons can include:

• Parsha & Chumash – Developing translation skills, understanding the Pesukim and exploring the deeper messages and lessons within each Parsha.

• Mishnah – Learning to read, translate and understand the Mishnah clearly, while developing the skills needed to learn more independently.

• Gemara – Building strong Gemara skills, including key vocabulary, reading and translation, understanding the questions and answers, and following the structure and reasoning of the Sugya.

• Jewish Thought & Hashkafah – Exploring important Jewish ideas, beliefs and values through traditional Jewish sources, with opportunities for discussion and questions.

My aim is not simply to teach the material, but to help students develop the skills and confidence to understand Jewish texts independently.

Lessons are adapted to the individual student, whether they need help keeping up with school, want to strengthen their skills, prepare for an assessment, or simply want to deepen their Jewish knowledge.

I teach in a clear, patient and engaging way, breaking difficult ideas into manageable steps and encouraging students to think, question and understand.

Lessons are available online for children, teenagers and adults, from beginners through to more advanced learners.
