About Lisa-Marie

Hello, I am Lisa-Marie, I currently work as a teacher at a Secondary School with over 4 years teaching/tutoring experience! I teach English and Law, Sociology and I have good knowledge of the WJEC, OCR, and AQA exam boards. I am patient, enthusiastic, reliable and easy to work with. I studied Law during my undergraduate degree and I studied English, Law and Sociology during my A Levels. After performing poorly in my first year of A Levels, my performance improved drastically in my second year and this was because of certain strategies I implemented which I share with my students.

About the lesson

I am a big believer in the saying 'any student can perform well if they are willing to put in the effort'. I love to use engaging lessons to capture interest, maximise retention and work on exam practice to prepare for the actual exam. I studied Law during my undergraduate degree and I studied English, Law and Sociology during my A Levels. After performing poorly in my first year of A Levels, my performance improved drastically in my second year and this was because of certain strategies I implemented. I am more than happy to share these with you and tailor them to your learning style in order to improve your overall performance in the subjects you are struggling with. I teach all my subjects up to GCSE Level, however I teach only Law and Sociology at A-Level. I will encourage independent learning also which will gradually prepare the children for higher levels of education. I aim to begin sessions by finding out what the student is struggling with the most and structure lessons mainly around those areas.
