About Francois
I have worked in IT and education for many years and currently teach computer skills, programming and IT-related subjects. I particularly enjoy helping people who feel that computers are difficult or intimidating.
My teaching experience has taught me that people learn differently, so I don't believe in rushing through a fixed syllabus. I prefer to understand what you want to achieve and build the lessons around that.
Outside of work, I'm interested in technology, photography, films, books and games. I'm naturally curious and enjoy learning how things work, which is something I try to bring into my teaching.

I offer practical, personalised lessons in Microsoft Office and everyday computer skills, designed around what you actually need to do. I am an experienced IT lecturer who teaches students and adults with different levels of computer experience.
Lessons can cover Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, file management, PDFs, email and Microsoft 365. We can start from the basics or focus on specific skills you need for work or study.
My approach is relaxed and hands-on: rather than simply explaining features, I demonstrate them and then let you practise them yourself. I am happy to explain things in different ways until they make sense.
Lessons are suitable for beginners, adults returning to work, students, and anyone who wants to become more confident and productive with computers.
