About Selin

Hello! I’m Selin, a second-year Master’s student in Political Science at the University of Bologna/Italy, with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching A Level Edexcel Politics. My tutoring approach combines academic depth with clarity and structure. Having studied political theory, international relations, and comparative politics at a postgraduate level, I understand how to break down complex ideas into simple, exam-ready concepts. My lessons focus on analytical thinking, essay planning, and argument development all key skills for achieving top grades. Students can expect well-organized, engaging sessions where we work through the syllabus systematically, using past papers, model essays, and examiner-style feedback. Hi! I’m Selin, an experienced A Level Edexcel Politics tutor passionate about helping students gain confidence and achieve top results.

My teaching method focuses on simplifying complex political theories, encouraging debate-style discussions, and using real-world examples to make every concept memorable. I combine exam-focused strategies with a clear understanding of mark schemes to help students develop strong analytical and evaluative skills.

A typical lesson starts with a quick recap of previous content, followed by a focused explanation of a key topic (for example, UK Politics, Core Ideologies, or Comparative Politics). We then work through past paper questions and essay structures together, with detailed feedback on how to improve argument clarity and depth essential for reaching A/A*.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my tailored, interactive approach. I adapt to each student’s learning style whether they prefer structured note-based sessions or open discussion and make sure they fully understand not only what to write in the exam, but why it earns marks.
