About Erin
Hi, my name is Erin Kavanagh of MSB(Mind, Spirit, Body) Martial Arts. My personal journey in this field all started watching my own daughter now 27, practice Karate when she was very young around the age of 5 and so we've had this amazing experience together. She went on to become the National Sports Karate Association Champion and won Grand Champion in many tournaments throughout the years, eventually later received her Black Belt in 2015. During that same time, I personally was awarded Student of the Year in Taewkondo by the United Fellowship of Martial Artists. I had also earned my Blackbelt degree and was recognized as a member of the Song Do Kwan Alliance. For more than six years have been and currently a member of the USMAO United Systems of Martial Artists Organization. In 2021, I was inducted into the Philadelphia Historical Martial Arts Society Hall of Honor. In 2022, started practicing Japanese Sword as well.
In addition to this experience, I have trained under many Grand Masters and Masters in many styles of Martial Arts. I have experience teaching young children, teens, men and women of all ages with various establishments as well as private instruction.
Martial arts is an excellent way to get fit, learn how to defend yourself, have more focus and discipline. It will help improve your memory and is great for your physical strength and mental health.
I offer a great workout/stretching routine, followed by a variety of self defense techniques, katas, and can tailor your class as needed.
I really enjoy passing along the knowledge that I have learned in all these years. Teaching people of all ages and keeping it a challenge yet fun for the students is very exciting, especially to watch them grow and succeed!
