My background in Optometry has given me a solid foundation in math and science. It is my goal to combine my range of experiences as an educator and doctor with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, dedicated teacher who will make a positive contribution
I have had the pleasure of teaching Fourth Grade Reading/ELA and Sixth grade Advanced and GEM math over the past four years. Through this experience I have developed my skills as an educator to deliver effective and engaging lessons to my students. I understand that researched based practices are what drives instruction to produce the greatest gains in student learning.

I have personally known Edna for 9 years. During that time she spent a lot of time in her own childrens' classrooms assisting teachers when needed and as room mom. During that time in the classroom she realized that working with kids was something she found fulfilling. She realized at that point that teaching was her passion. From that point on she pursued the academic requirements to become a teacher and fulfill her passion.
Since that time she has worked with several age groups, all of whom she has gotten positive feedback from regarding her ability to encourage children to do their best.
I know, personally, Edna is trustworthy as a personal friend and that she has the utmost respect for my own children as well as her students.
I believe that Edna would be a great asset to any school.
