About Stephanie

Hi I'm Stephanie, and I have been working with children for the past five years, gaining valuable experience in both one-on-one and small group educational settings. I specialize in tutoring elementary school students in math, using clear, engaging methods to help them understand fundamental concepts and build confidence. My teaching experience includes working in classroom settings with groups of up to 10 students, where I have led lessons and provided individual support. Additionally, I have volunteered in educational programs on Saturdays and during the summer, helping children strengthen their academic skills in a fun and supportive environment. While I am currently in high school, my strong math abilities, combined with my extensive experience working with children and parents, make me a highly qualified tutor. I tailor my teaching approach to fit each student’s needs, ensuring they not only grasp the material but also enjoy the learning process.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I take a student-centered approach, tailoring each lesson to the individual’s learning style and needs. I break down complex concepts into simple, relatable terms using interactive techniques such as visual aids, real-life applications, and step-by-step problem-solving. My lessons typically begin with a quick review of previous material, followed by an engaging introduction to new topics using clear explanations and examples. I encourage active participation through discussions, practice problems, and hands-on activities to reinforce understanding. Regular assessments help track progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. My tutoring is designed for elementary and middle school students, as well as high school underclassmen, ensuring a strong foundation in core subjects while building confidence and critical thinking skills.
