My Approach as Your Tutor:

With perfect grades and a passion for math, as your tutor I aim to simplify complex topics and make them engaging and practical. Whether struggling with high school algebra, college calculus, or challenging inferential statistics courses, my tutoring sessions are customized to meet you exactly where you currently stand and help guide you to where you want to be.

***********Lesson Plan*************

1. Warm-Up & Check-In (5 minutes)

Greet the student and briefly discuss how their week has been.

Ask if they had any trouble with recent homework or lessons in school.

Review previous homework or assigned questions, if applicable.

2. Concept Review (10 minutes)

Go over a key concept related to the current topic (e.g., quadratic equations, probability, derivatives).

Use a real-life example or visual aid (graph, diagram) to build understanding.

Ask simple questions to check prior knowledge and correct misconceptions.

3. Guided Practice (20 minutes)

Work through 2–3 problems together using a step-by-step method.

Encourage the student to lead the solution as you support them.

Emphasize problem-solving techniques and thinking patterns.

4. Independent Practice (15 minutes)

Give the student similar questions to solve on their own.

Observe their process and offer help when needed.

Identify areas where the student hesitates or struggles.

5. Recap & Takeaway (5 minutes)

Summarize what was covered in the session.

Ask the student to explain one concept back to you (to reinforce retention).

Suggest a few practice questions or a goal to work on before the next session.

*************Teaching Methodology & Techniques:************

Memorization is no match for true understanding. To help connect theory with real world practice, I utilize a variety of methods including relevant examples, step-by-step breakdowns, visual aids, and hands-on problem solving. My flexible teaching style adapts based on your unique preferences - whether you learn best through demonstration, explanation, or trial and error.
