About Katie
I approach tutoring with patience, structure, and an understanding that every student learns differently. With a background in psychology, I focus on how students process information, where confusion starts, and how to build lasting understanding instead of memorization. I bring over three years of tutoring experience and a psychology background that helps me understand how students think, learn, and sometimes get stuck. I work with students in grades 3 through 12, with a focus on middle and high school math, and tailor each lesson to the student’s needs. My sessions are hands on and engaging while still giving students the space to think independently and build problem solving skills. Most importantly, I focus on building confidence. When students feel supported and capable, their understanding and performance improve naturally.
