About Tyler
Hi, I’m Tyler! I am a Mechanical Engineering student with over a year and a half of dedicated tutoring experience. Mathematics has always been central to my academic work, and my goal is to make it approachable, intuitive, and engaging for every student I teach.
Over the past year and a half, I have worked with a diverse range of learners—from elementary students building foundational confidence to high school and college peers mastering advanced calculus concepts. Because no two students learn the same way, I focus on patience, clear communication, and personalized explanations that adapt to each individual's pace and learning style.
Whether we are tackling tricky homework assignments, preparing for upcoming exams, or bridging learning gaps, I provide a structured, supportive, and motivating environment where students feel confident asking questions and reaching their full potential.

Teaching Approach & Methodology
Math isn’t one-size-fits-all. With over a year and a half of tutoring experience, I adapt each lesson to match the student’s unique learning style—whether they need visual breakdowns, step-by-step logic, or intuitive real-world applications. My goal is to move beyond memorization and build genuine, long-term conceptual understanding and problem-solving confidence.
Typical Lesson Plan
Quick Concept Review & Diagnostics (5–10 mins): We check in on current homework, identify problem areas, or clarify tricky class concepts.
Interactive Guided Practice (30–35 mins): We work through challenging problems collaboratively. I use an active problem-solving model—starting with guided examples, transitioning to independent attempts, and correcting mistakes in real time.
Synthesis & Strategy Wrap-up (10–15 mins): We summarize core takeaways, practice key exam techniques, and outline actionable steps for independent study.

Elementary & Middle School: Building foundational math literacy, confidence, and homework habits.
High School: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus.
