Experienced Mathematics And Comp Sci Tutor
A Bristol University graduate (Computer Science BSc) and Nottingham University postgraduate (Pure Mathematics MSc), I now tutor full time, specialising in A Level and Degree Level Mathematics exams as well as Science and Maths at GCSE.
I have always thoroughly enjoyed my studies and believe that the key to excelling in learning comes from having a tutor that has a passion for the material they are teaching.
I can relate to the challenge that students face and as a high achieving, approachable person, I am well set to help facilitate a student overcome these challenges.
Tutoring Experience
Tutored several students at A Level and Degree Level to achieve high scores resulting in offers from their chosen universities.
A*AA in Chemistry, Biology and Maths at A-Level.
-12 A*'s and 2 A's at GCSEs.
In the previous academic year I have tutored 4 GCSE students and 3 A-Level students. This included taking 2 students from mock D grades to final exam A*s, in Biology, Maths and Chemistry GCSE's.
Over 1000 private tutoring hours over a range of subjects.
Experience with students from ages 11 to university level.
Assisted in running first year degree revision sessions for exams.
Tutoring Approach
Having helped a number of students with A Level and Degree exams, I understand how the tests work and how to ensure a student is best prepared to achieve a high grade and secure a place at their chosen university.
The most important thing is assessing what we'd like to get out of the experience and then setting our goals based on that. These can vary from completing a bit of coursework, all the way to a year long program that will culminate in the achievement of a desired grade.
Once we've established these goals, the next step is to identify our 'strong points' and our 'points to work on', so we can prioritize the most important topics and tasks.
As a young graduate who has been through the system from start to finish, I provide a relatable, qualified and friendly option for students of any age.
