About Akindele
I am James Akindele. A mechanical engineering graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. I am married with kids and presently a maths teacher in high school. I have a!ways have passion to teach mathematics, making it simple to understand. I believe everyone can find pleasure in solving mathematical problems. I love taking students whether average, below average or above in their mathematical knowledge. One of the quotes that motivates by teaching skills is that of Albert Einstein, who says if you can't explain it simply enough you don't understand it simply enough. This is why I daily try to find simp!er ways of passing across mathematical knowledge to student. It gives me joy whenever I see the face of a student brightened up after discovering that after all it is not that difficult as earlier thought.

From experience, I have come to understand that students get to understand faster when engaged in a private, one to one tutorship. I believe this can be traced to the customised and tailor made attention and explanation being offered to the respective student. We all learn at different paces and individual has specific way of getting to understand calculation problems like mathematics. A lot of students just need a private push to get them going smoothly in their normal school work or get successfully prepared for examination. Private tutorship takes good care of one of the ancient limitations and disadvantages of the four wall classroom approach to teaching, which is trying to use one stone to kill twenty birds. That is, trying to use one approach to reach out to different brain compositions This is like engaging a bulldozer and a sport car to move at the same speed, and hence try to judge their potential base on their speed limit. Really, both have different potentials to attain the same goal. While a sport car may focus on plying the tarred but long road a bulldozer can choose to create a shorter way of getting to the same destination at same or shorter time. But in class the teacher has to follow one way laid down by the curriculum hence jeopardizing the potential of any student whose own style is not in alignment. Private tutorships greatly handle this, enabling each student to learn at his/her own pace and style.
